I spent St. Patrick's Day in an overly packed and hot Irish pub in St. Wendel, a small town in the state of Saarland in Germany, we were with Joh's cousins + girlfiends and were trying to figure out if the musicians were singing in English or Celtic, or Gaelic. Then we had a discussion about which of those languages are actually Irish. And where the Celtics come from (the people and the basketball team). And then we went to another bar where they curiously write your number of drinks on a coaster, sometimes as a price and sometimes as a cross - it's a Saarland thing probably. What if your coaster gets really wet and your can't take it to the bar to pay??
We went to Trier, the oldest city in Germany and went into the oldest cathedral in Germany - 700 ish years. We also went to the oldest Abbey in Tholey, also 700 ish years (another random small town near Baltersweiler where we actually stayed) and I played on not the oldest organ some random sounds, it was totally awesomely funny for being in a church!
There are too many churches in southern Germany. And they speak funny. gell?
If you are what you eat, what will I turn into when eating Kinder chocolate...??
I love Regina Spektor, but also Vanessa Paradis sometimes recently.
I wish I was at my parents house sitting in the sun on the deck, it's sunny here but I have to sit inside and study.
